RIPT Decoder Quickstart
Install
Pre-built libraries and language bindings are available from decoder downloads.
Decode a file
Rust
fn main() -> Result<(), Box<dyn std::error::Error>> {
let bytes = std::fs::read("input.ript")?;
let raster = ript::decode(&bytes)?;
// `raster` is a typed container with the decoded pixels + dimensions.
Ok(())
} C
#include <ript.h>
// Inspect metadata, allocate, decode. See ript.h shipped in the
// decoder package for the full function list. Python
import ript
raster = ript.decode(open("input.ript", "rb").read()) Error handling
Decoders return a typed error when input is corrupted, unsupported, or not a RIPT file. They do not panic on malformed input. See error handling best practices for the patterns.
